I appreciate any input you guys might have,
After changing the oil and cleaning the chain last night at 400 miles, I took my bike to work this morning and noticed a sound that is kind of like a hiss, which I have never heard before. It sounds like tearing paper slowly and smoothly or something rubbing on a tire (which it isn’t), which does not change with engine RPM or speed, it remains absolutely constant in every gear. But only when on the throttle with the clutch engaged. At a constant speed the hiss can be made to go away instantly by pulling in the clutch, or rolling off the throttle and flickers on and off instantly with either control.
I would think it is not an engine or driveline noise as it is constant, and would either think it is just a sound the bikes make or perhaps a vacuum leak or fuel injection noise (it doesn’t sound like the pump which kicks in when you first turn on the key.
Maybe I am an over scrutinizing Hayabusa owner but I would prefer not to let a possible problem remain unidentified.
The oil was replaced with Suzuki performance 10w 40 and was filled to the correct level 3.5 quarts with a new filter as per the owners manual.
Thanks a lot for your help
