(Reuters) - A girl can be sued over accusations she ran over an elderly woman with her training bicycle when she was 4 years old, a New York Supreme Court justice has ruled.

Are you serious? - The problem with this ruling is that it doesn't make allowance for the fact that, in life, "**** happens".
I don't believe anyone should be able to sue for that sort of thing. An accident is precisely that: an accident.

Why this is so horrible? Come on man. I am sure that the LITTLE 4 year old girl did not intend to do this. It was an accident. For a judge to rule on this he should be removed from the bench for being so stupid. He uses no common sense at all. Man what is the world coming to?

What's sad is the elderly woman died 3 months after the surgery and the child's mother was "supervising" the two children. This is a strange incident. Does anyone understand the precedent mentioned in the article?

its just the family going for the money. (unless she died due to the surgery)
