Just wanted to introduce myself and my newly purchased used busa k6.

I have been reading on this forum for 2 weeks, trying to learn what I am getting myself into:whistle:
I used to ride a 00 GSXR600 and a 01 TL1000R up until 2002 have'nt rode ever since.

Bought this busa this morning with 2700 miles from an
older gentleman, who had a handful of bikes and cars,
wanted to make room for more. lol
So i got lucky, pure stock, untouched. The only downside is a small rash on the right side, front fairing and tail, where it was tipped over.
No sign of forward motion slide. No cracks. Excellent condition.
I had a buddy, who drag race busas, came along with me and examined the bike.

Already have plans to get a triple tree and lower links. Cant wait for monday to arrive so I can get the inspection, title and tag.

Here are a couple of pictures

Sweet! Congratulations on the great purchase.

Welcome to the family.

Whatever you need, search for it using the very powerful and all-knowing search function and if you can't find it...shout it out! Tons of extraordinarily knowledgable people here.

Ride safe, ride sane, keep the rubber-side down; stick around awhile!

:beerchug:

Man that was quick!

Thanks everyone!

No Name Yet!

I havent even told the wife yet:whistle:
She will be very surprised once she open the garage door

Welcome to the Org!:cheerleader: This bike and maybe even more for me, this site are an addiction that ya just can't get enough of. I've learned more about these bikes in the last 10 month from these people. Enjoy the ride and enjoy the ORG when you're not riding. I'm starting to meet so many riders from near by areas and sending PM's, talking over the phone and then meeting for a ride.:beerchug: This place is what allows all this to happen and I'm grateful for it.:thumbsup:Stick around and join in on the fun!!!!

I started on my better half almost two years before purchase. When the Gen 2 rumors were running strong.
When it came time it was no shock and well accepted. she did think I was having a mid-life crisis.

why do you want to lower it? drag racing? bad idea if you are street riding.

2001-2002 she rode with me before.
but she never knew that I wanted a bike again.
sold my bikes and started my Car hobby (show car)
Sold the car and got into the RC Helicopters
Got married and bought a house, last year.
I needed something to do

I am not a "twisty" guy more an occasional rider.
i am a bit on the chunky side now, so a busa can definitely hold me up LOL

i also like the lowered look
