I am about a week out from getting my Blue "00" Busa, sold R1 last year. Just getting to chubby.

I really enjoy this site and all the great info you guys bring to it. I have been just reading the last week before I jump in. I never had the time to really work with any of my previous bikes, so they were all stockers. This new BUSA I want to just do a couple little things for now. PIPE IS A MUST, I cant stand the look of that dual pipe it has. I seen a pic of a Single Side Pipe and had instant WOOD! WOW! what a difference it has to its overall appearance. So some help with a new Titanium exhaust and Can would be appreciated. Not looking the internally trick the motor, exhaust is all. What do I need to do to my bike after new exhaust is in place. Treat me as a rookie guys and try not to get to frustrated with what may be simple questions for you. Thanks.

Da ROCKET!

Mr. Rocket- Welcome. I also have a blue Bus. My choice is going to be the Muzzy titanium full exhaust with round titatium can. 6lbs, $791. You will need a Power Commander II (refered to here as a PCII) to install inline with your stock ECM. There are a number of "maps" available for free for you to try out on your PCII, but it should be pretty easy to pick the right one. Once you have the PCII, you might as well buy a "Motorhead" air box. They are only $100, and you will pick up as much power as you did with the pipe. He can probably help you to tweak your PCII settings to compensate for the air box. God bless.

... and again, 'lo there Mr. Rocket. Mines been 'improved' with a full Yoshi RS-3 with oval titanium can, an 'Albanised' air-box (don't know where he gets his from?), Yoshi satge 1 cams and the obligotary PCII.

I'm sorry to spoil your fun geezewrs, but the BLACK ONE IS THE FASTEST!

He, he, he ;-)

Mr, Rocket... Welcome.

Wassssuuuuuuuuuuuuup brother of the Blue Busas.

Watching the speedo climb.

Dreaming of a bud.

Best of luck with the new ride. The Sh** eating grin will eventually wear off. But will re-appear every time you twist that throttle.

Only until the initial thrill of stock BLUE HP wears off, then he'll be a dollarless idiot like most of us(w/ a fast modded bike!).

C'mon Tangram, don't you know the paint around the ram air intakes is impregnated with timed release nitromethane on blues? Only releases at a secret air velocity...

:) ;)

Yeah? some geezer told me about that. To tell the truth I was very impressed. Ya probably didn't know that the black 'busa's intake is impregnated with the juice of SEMTEX though. No smell, very hard to detect, but when it goes up, it does it with a BIG bang! Piss on any blue pretender on the planet.

WR,
You might also want to consider the Brock Clutch mod. It will help you manage the extra ponies you'll have on tap.

watchin the bike...havin' a bud...

welcome dude. Ya know, blues are faster. Those old burgundy bikes are sloooowwwwww...

:)

The mods mentioned above will blow your mind.
I have a sato carbon race can, themotorhead airbox, and a PC2 w/ a custom map from themotorhead, BDE lowering links, and blue will flat FLY. Unreal.

Kurt

p.s. something in the blue paint adds HP...

heehee!!
