i am new to the whole nitrous thing and am really curious i wouldnt mind a few extra ponies to the ole busa, so any tips on anything about what kits are good for what use, i dont drag but i do quite a bit of street racing and so forth, i dont have any motor mods besides a power commmander PC5 and a K&N.

Full exhaust, custom map tune, maybe gearing...then talk NOS. Depends on what you realy want. Small dry hit of 30shot fogged to the air box is your cheapest, safest, and less complex set-up.

Putting your own kit together is the cheapest way to go. Like bigrod said, you'll see the most benifit from an exhaust and tune first. Are you wanting it for dragin, or just to boil the tire on the street. I put my kit together for about 250 including the spray bar, not uncluding the nitrous wiring from Smithabusa.

A spraybar steps it up a notch. You SHOULD get it mapped or ECU flashed for that. Thu nice, but fogging it into the air box...the sensor will pick it up and add more fuel to comp with it. Spray bar will bypass this and end up just hitting with NOS and no fuel add.
Dry kits is using NOS and using the stock fuel setup to match it. There are SO MANY ways to do dry kits. With highly modded fuel setups....a 100 shot dry could be used, if everything is set up correctly.

Now, dont get me wrong. Im no NOS expert, nor do I even have it on the MULLET. THu I have been looking at, researching it, review installs, and methods, and what motor work or set up is NEEDED for how big of a shot.

I dont trust the IAT to compensate enough for the additional nitrous. I think the Mapswitching with the stock ECU is the best way to do dry shots. We're running two bikes with bars, two fogging the box and I'd say the difference is negligable from a riding perspective. I would say a 30 shot should be tuned no matter what, whether your running dual PC's or Ms through the ECU. if you want it to be simple, go with a single fogger, map switching and have a blast.

to the OP, if you would like to know how we've got three bikes spraying with the stock ECU pm me and I'll give you a quick walk through of our simple setups. IIRC you can run on the stock ecu then switch to a PC for a nitrous map, but I've never set a bike up like that, so I wouldnt be able to say much about it.

Not sure...thats why I posted again to say Im no expert with NOS. Ive seen many of your post and YOU are the MAN on this board for NOS answers:thumbsup: Thats why I PMed YOU before for my questions:beerchug:

No problem. The Air Temp Sensor does not add that much. It is best not to rely on it to add fuel because of the small percentage that it does add fuel. There are very very few people that know exactly how much fuel it does add at a particular tempurature.

do it correctly and map for extra fuel needed. if a 02-07 busa my plug and play nitrous harness and ecu flashing work awesome together and require not 1 wire splice and you get TPS / rpm based activation with instant map switching.
