Well a buddy of mine came over the other day on his ZX14 and wanted to know could I help him stretch his Bike 6" like mine, and help install a new Exhaust system.

I said sure when ?

Right now

Cant help you now, But I will get home around 3 tomorrow and will come over.

Well at 3 I went over and he was no where to be found.

about 45 Min later I hear this sound going up and down the street, Not a good sound to me either.

I went outside to see him heading towards the house, He had went ahead and installed everything that night with another guy.

Voo Doo Exhaust. I didnt like the sound at all ! But he did so I told him it sounded good. I even asked him did he notice a big difference because I had never heard his ZX run with the old exhaust. He said ohhhhhhh yeah.

Next Im looking at the rear and between the 2 of them they decided to no longer go with the 6" stretch and went with the full 9" on the extensions. Once again I didnt like it but he did, So I agreed.

Have you ever seen a ZX14 Stretched 9" and not lowered, I swear I could crawl my azz back up in that open area in the back of that bike.

So how many of you would have told him you didnt like it, Or would you have just punked out like I did and said it looked ok.

I can't lie I would have punked out too...but I might say something down the road...

I'd have ripped him before someone else did. What are friends for anyway  You should have taken pictures.

If he's a good friend of yours then you did the right thing. :beerchug:

Anyway if you told him you didn't like it, he'd probably (wrongly) regard your position as jealousy. Can't have that!

:beerchug:

I'd offer some advice to make it look better so I dont have to tell him its ugly:laugh: Something like "You know what you need to do now? I'd lower it in the back to close this gap up. So how'd it handle:whistle:"

1.I would told him that It didn't look right
2.Take a picture and post it over here
3. No need to feel jealous cause I have the fastest bike and the most beautifull.
4. I don't need a grill on my bike, I have one at home

As a ZX14 owner I would have told him three things>

1. The exhaust is too loud so dont bring it to my house. (neighbors will complain)
2. You need to lower the bike.
3. Its your bike so do whatever mods you want.

I agree with street racer....

well we all knew he was an idiot when he bought a 14 anyway..lol j/k but seriously if he is your friend id offer the friendly advice about the lowering links

I think your friend is going to be in for a surprise. With the ass end sticking up in the air, more weight on the front tire and a 9 inch stretch, I can picture the rear wheel breaking loose and spinning quite easily. May catch him off guard if he isnt ready for it.

Hey..watch it !!! FWIW, I owned a 2006 Busa and am currently looking for a good used 2007 Burgundy Busa. I foolishly traded my used 2006 Busa for a new 2006 GSXR1000 and wish I had it back. The Gixxer is a nice bike but too squirrely for me. I want the stability of the Busa again.

Its not thats its loud, It just has a weird sound to it.

I will talk to him about lowering the rear.

And I figure it is his bike and if he likes it cool, Im sure alot of you out there dont like my bike, But Im not going to change it because of it, and Im sure just because I dont like his, he's not going to undue what he paid to do to it.

So you finally figured it out huh.

The 07 Burgandy is the Fastest and Best looking Busa.

He has seen the light... :please:

I would have probably done the same thing and let it pass.
Eventually the passer by comments will sink in. When "he decides" the rear end is too high and wants to lower it, just smile and help him if he asks.
