No lights

Ok just got my bike back from the stealership after they replaced my front fairing and headlight assembly. First off I want to say that they would never even taken it there if it wasn't for the whole insurance thing. Anyway, I have no headlights or turn signal on the front of the bike. Does any one know if there is a harness that they may have forgot to plug in? I was thinking since all the lights upfront wasn't working that maybe that could be the problem. I havnt had time to look so any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe take it back and have them readdress the problem since I'm guessing you paid for it.

First take a look at your fuse panel for a blown one. If not there, take it back as they have neglected to plug something back into the wiring harness. The usual half done stealership service job.

Sounds like they didn't plug it in, Theres one connector on the left side under your black inner fairing Its either white or green. I can't really remember I had it all apart two weeks ago.

Just pop the one small black inner fender out and look under your fuse panel. It will maybe take 5 minutes to see if its not hooked up. If it is check your fuses, If you have a blown fuse then start looking for a blown light or pinched wire. Just hope you don't have to take the nose off again. Its a PITA.

Good Luck,
Adam

Sounds like they didn't even turn the key after they fixed the front.

I'd report to that to your insurance co. and take it back. Be sure to include the degree of unsatisfactory results you had while riding at night.:moon:

I fixed it myself Sunday sure enough it the harness wasnt plugged up under the left fairing. But they still didnt even put in a low beam bulb in the bike. The first chance I get to call and remind them that they are incompetent I will, and also tell them they owe me a bulb. This is the second time they have worked on my bike and both times parts were left off or loose. This is why I change my own oil. Who knows what they would forget with that oil maybe filter?

Man. they're dangerous sounds like some very incompentent wanna be mechanics. +1 on not even turning on the key to see if everything is working.:poke:???
