No power to anything

This is a heads up for all my gen 3 guys. The starter relay is located behind the rear cow on the left hand side and has a 30 amp fuse in it. If you find that you don't have power to anything you might want to check this fuse. My buddy was helping me jump the bike off and hooked up the leads wrong and poped this fuse. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out what the heck was going on, but I found it and it was a good thing that they give you a spare fuse in the relay cover.

Can I give you some valuable advice . . . if you have to jump start your bike due to a flat battery, you are neglecting basic preventitive maintenance, to avoid this problem get a battery tender/charger and keep your battery at it's optimum state of charge.
Jump starting a bike is dodgy, especially when people do not take enough care and pay attention to correct polarity hook up.
As you rightly said, if you have no power to the dash at all, first place to look is the 30amp fuse.
BUT, there must be a reason for that fuse to blow, in your case it was the incorrect hook up of the jump cables, but if there is no apparent reason, the fault needs to be traced.

Thank you for the info...

I purchased this battery for my last Busa which has a "restart " button on it...basically, it keeps a little power in reserve for an emergency stat.

Another added bonus is that it has four terminals the other two can be used for accessories AND it's very light.
