No Speed limiter

According to Jason Britton the 08 Busa he was riding hit just over 190MPH on a factory Busa at Road America. Apparently they didn't put a limiter on the 08 after all.

Either that or the speedometer was way off, but then again those where pre factory release bikes too!

30 Pre-factory bikes that were ridden on the public roads? I feel that's more of a stretch at this point than the speedo being that far off.

Had mine to 185 (Indicated), but had not shifted to 6th gear yet. Hope that is not all she has, what a huge waste if that is the case...

Honestly guys... where do you ride at 190mph?

If you got caught in the UK you'd do time in Jail? Is that the same in the US

LOL

Track , bonneville , Maxton , ect...

It does have the limiter , everything in the states has to , but you can get around it, soon.

You guys should live in Brazil... cops see you fly by and almost waive because they love motorcycles...

Though we do have some speed radars that will take pictures of your plate, you get busted every now and then - of course these radars can only get you if you are doing less than 130 mph - more than that and the picture taken lacks your plate or is not even measured properly.

They wave at us here to. Sometimes they even jump in their car and try to chase you down so they can wave again !!!!! Very friendly...

I still have not heard what Brocks did to reach 200+ as far as removing any restrictor.
Nothing other than his bolt-ons. With the 18/43 gearing and increased RPM-limiter on the 08, they estimate it will go 204 with stock gearing and the GPS mod. Sounds like they had a lot more in it but ran out of time...

Power Commander will be releasing an ignition module which goes with the main Power Commander unit. If it is the same as the module for the Mk1 Busa, it can be used to override the rev limit in all gears, but you have to fax a disclaimer to PC and get an unlock code for the unit. The ignition module for the MkII Busa shows as 'under development' on their site - so with a bit of luck it will be along soon, and I'll be getting the two bits of kit - that's for sure.

There is a limiter on the 08'. Jason Britton was talking about 190 indicated which is what you are seeing on the road on yours which is also not 190. The speedo's are off and the limiter IS there.

dam thats fast, gotta love it, just a matter of time b4 the restriction comes back off and they let these bikes fly toshow what they can really do
