Noob questions from iraq

Well... I bought my Black 06 and left to Iraq the same day. Now I spend my time off on Hayabusa.Org trying to learn all I can from the wonderful folks here.

Have some questions ...

1. Where can I get a really good set of stands? Swingarm and fork stands. Been looking on Ebay but need guidance so I buy the right ones and not some low quality junk.

2. What's the best drop in inches front/rear should I do to mine? I don't want anything to bottom out causing any damage. A link to who I can order the stuff from will do.

3. Are Alpinestar jackets prefered over the Joe Rockets? I have searched and like the Alpines more... but also like the Rocket's Suzuki jackets. Trying to decide...

4. Recommend best slip on pipes I can buy. Also best full exhaust system... "Hindle"..? Please post a link.

5. Best helmet model and brand... I bought an Arai Corsair RX7... Pretty sure I did well there.

Well... those are a couple questions I had in mind so I can shop for stuff online. Thanks and I'll be donating to the board later today.

1. bought front & rears from checkered flag for around $100 (from a GB here). if you have extra $$, Pit Bull is the favorite

2. can't help you here (keeping mine stock height)
3. I was leaning towards ALPINESTARS until I tried them on in person (too stiff, fit not good for me). Then I got a Joe Rocket (Sonic 2.0)
4. Suzuki and YOSHIMURA have always been a good combo. I have RS-3s on mine. BEST? what's your budget?
5. Arai quantum f for me.

Hard to say what is preferred or best on any of this stuff. Really comes down to personal choice.

Depends on how much money you want to spend. Pit-Bulls make great, sturdy stands, but cost about $325 for a set. Handys work well for about $100.

For the street, probably 1" in front and 2" in the rear. Rear drop depends on the undertail that you choose.

Extremely personal choice.

Probably Yosh, but it depends on what you are looking for. Color, style, sound, . . .?

I've decided and ordered a set of Pitbull stands and spools.  More expensive but I want the best for my mistress.

I think I'll go with the kit I saw on Ebay for a 1" front and 1.5-2" drop in the rear.  

Yoshimura RS3 in Carbon Fiber looks good to me.

The jackets I'll decide later on...

I have some buddies up in TQ.... We fix helicopters for the Army. But we have to work 7days a week, 12hours a day. Sucks but pays well.

I have pitbull stands and they are great but spendy. Worth the $$

I haven't alterted the height on my bike. I like it just the way it is.

I prefer Alpinestar to Joe Rocket. I just think the overall quality is better. IMO.

Arai is great! That's what I have and I love it!

No mod in the exhuated department as of yet.

I agree with scootergirl on all points except the last. HMF High Rises will make her Sound good and run better. They're tricky to install correctly but man are they worth it! Thank You, Be safe and keep those birds doin' what they do best! Oh and I lowered mine 1" in the rear for everyday riding and strap the front down on drag strip days.
