Nor Cal  and beyond

OK, this ride is now making me think I'd be stupid to leave the swingarm fully extended! What do you all think? Hwy 36 w/b is not a long wheelbase road! Tell me your opinions in case I have to designate an evening this week to shorten the chain, do brake line, blah blah........Doyle
Don't worry, I'm sure everybody will stop and wait for you

if stretched, then again you don't want to disappoint everybody with being the cool guy (bike night) not stretched, then again actually riding it might be a fight opposed to an enjoyable ride?  I would think even if its stretched as long as it's way off the ground like it is you could manage it in the turns, then again you'll probably get a bunch weird stares with it looking like that and not slammed. You know just your age and a stock Busa if enough to be the talk of the town
rofl.gif
.  Surprise us maybe? Have you ridden it yet in stock configuration?  OK I'm sure I not helping any

I'm not big on the extended version, will you be able to ride your normal agressive style with it ?

I think this would be good time to see how it all works im sure you will still be haulin' the mail with it and if you would rather have it shorter there are way more rides to come only thing is with it sitting high in the back it will make your butt look way bigger

ROFL, Bill thanks for your ecclectic, varied, introspective, multi-faceted analysis, now I'm more confused than ever! Maybe if I died my hair......

Hey Kent (and everybody), I just took off on Friday, May 2 @1 pm so I can make it to Chico for "bike nite". Also, just collapsed my swingarm to "short" so as to ride with the big dogs. (of course, I had to have a new brake/torque arm built, it never ends!) On Sunday the 4th, I'll peel off after Quincy, to Reno...that will be perfect. Doyle

OK!  Here's the schedule we are planning

Friday : not sure about a ride on friday as I havent got much responce from all 3 websites yet. BUT friday night for sure we ar mtg at APEX Mototech at 6-7pm then cruise the Big Al's Burgers all on the esplanade. Here is web link for APEX     http://www.apexmototech.com/

Saturday : Meet in Chico at a restaurant called Sin of Cortez at 8:30 or 9 a.m. we roll at 10 am sharp! web link :     http://www.sinofcortez.com/
Head to Red Bluff approx arrive at 10:45 gas & go out 36 toward Platina, then hwy 3 thru Hayfork ( maybe lunch in Hayfork ) hit 299 back toward Redding from Redding we probly roll down I-5 ...

Sunday : Looks like hwy 162 from Oroville toward Bucks Lake and Quincy ( pending if the road is clear and open yet )  then back down hwy 70 and the feather river canyon toward the Valley. Beautiful scenery and great roads. But gotta watch out for the man.

The day is totally on you Rob, I suggest Sat with the Busa, Hwy36 w/b is an unreal road! Also, the ride is a significantly bigger loop of NorCal.
Also, if you bring the 1000, we could switch bikes on the Interstate to help your body! Doyle

ok then maybe i will just do the saturday one and go with the 1000 on that ride i have been on 299 but never 36 (140 miles of twities

Plus, after the days riding, maybe we could have a comfy kick back dinner before you make the final run back to El Dorado Hills.

Both days are gonna be great! Saturdays Hwy 36 is truely awesome but we dont have time to go all the way to the coast. The loop from Chico will be only about 275 miles. I think this would be better on the Busa. The thing about Saturday is we are gonna have more riders for sure.

Hwy 162 above Oroville dam has some amazing new paved twisties and the gixxer 1K would be better suited for this ride. Total loop to & from Chico about 180 miles.
