hey guys.. im 6'3 about 330ish, STOCK motor on an 03, 16/42, full hindle 4-1, 6 1/2 stretch and this is what I am running..

R/T ... .168
60' .... 1.574
330 ... 4.199
1/8 ... 6.428
MPH .. 110.25
1000 .. 8.389
1/4 .... 10.074
MPH ... 132.70

What simple solutions could get me runnin faster, and lower times?

It yanks my chain when I let others ride my bike, and they roll 9.2's and 9.3's... they are also about 150 lbs lighter than me too though. I can taste the 9s..

I would love to set up a small dry 40 shot, but dont know what all I need to run it. I know one of my friends suggested a device that would ease into the full 40.. not just drop all 40 at once... i cant remember the name of it though.. a progressor maybe?!

NitrousJunkie suggested runnin a 16/42, so im gonna try that and see what it does..

any other ideas/suggestions?

THANKS

This is going to sound bad.. and I dont mean it to.. but.. lose weight.... your body weight...

It would be good for your health, it is the best way to lose over all bike / rider weight...

I mean unless you are a body builder and it is all muscle and you need it for something..

But if you are 6'3 and IF you are not a body builder, I am guess you could probably get down to at least 240 and that would be more weight you could ever hope to lose by trimming the Busa down..

Contact Jester0769 and ask him about dry NOS kits..

He has a kit I was talking to him about, 2 pound bottle, and comes with a 40, 60 and 80 shot nozzles..

And yes there are setups that lets say you have an 80 shot setup, it will pump at out 40 and gradually increase to 80 so you dont get a big burts all at one time

And you could change sprockets

You could also go with after market "plastics" BA BUSA was telling me about some stuff I think he called "Shark SKins" that are supposed to be lighter

You could also go with Carbon fiber wheels

Its an 03 so you have a steel subframe.... might think about swapping for an aluminum subframe.. but check with BA BUSA.. he did that but I know there are some issues you need to be aware of. such as he said he did it for a weight saving, BUT I think he said he would not recomend it if you are riding passengers.. etc.

But all in all... it would be cheaper more effective and will achieve the most weight loss and performance by losing body weight..

I am 5'9 at 225 mostly muscle (not all lol) and I can tell a HUGE differance between riding by myself or packing on a rider who weighs 140 pounds bike handles differant, doesnt have the acceleration etc..

Whatever you do good luck....

speaking of things....... where is your "full" hindle setup.

I don't think you have anything to complain about...I'm boosted and can't run that time in the 1/8th...You got a good 60' time also...You've got everything else the sprockets and pipe unless you want to go in the motor then NOS will mike you quicker...If you want aot more boost that ^%$%$!!!

im new to this site but i weigh 270 lbs and run 16/45 gearing goin thru with the shift light on in fifth gear at 9.63@145.2 in the 1/4.gearing made the biggest diff for me

I had a similar post the other week and was told to change the gearing to 16-44 I an 235-lbs suited up and it was a big difference holly ####!! I have an 02 busa with just slip-ons, all short velocity stacks, BMC (race) filter and a small dry shot with no power commander yet.

With the sprocket change and no nitrous I went from 6.6s to 6.3-6.4s all day.

Good luck!

this is the box like thing you are looking for it lets the nos come on like you want it to at the seconds you want it

hope this helps you

FOR YOUR WEIGHT A 16/44 OR 45 WOULD BE YOUR BEST BET. YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER YOUR A BIG FELLA AND YOU NEED TO GET THE BIKE OFF THE LINE AS QUICK AS YOU CAN,WITH A LOWER GEAR YOU CAN LEAVE AT A LITTLE LESS RPM.YEAH THE 2 DIAL PROGRESSIVE BOX FROM SCHNITZ WORKS WELL, I HAVE THAT ON MY BIKE. NICE BIKE AND GOOD LUCK.

Should've bought a 05 LE.  They are the fastest.  No mods required.
