Not quite a mod but an upgrade

I would not call this a mod but more of an upgrade. First I just had my forks rebuilt with stiffer spring what a differance. At first I thought the ride would be a lot rougher but acually (sp) it is smoother and handles 100% better than stock. Race Tech did the forks and was very please with their service.

Second I installed a set of EBC HH brake pads. All I can say if WOW. The brakes are 200% better than stock and I still have the stock brake lines on. I have a set of SS lines I am going to put on but I wanted to see the difference stock pads and the HH pads. I can't wait to put the SS lines on and see how much better they are than stock. If the bike stops any better I might get thrown over the bars.

hmmm I hear about the ebc's all the time... I might have to give them a shot.

Monty the forks were $325 but 50 of that was for them to remove and replace the forks on the bike. They resealed them and changed the oil and put the new stiffer springs in. The spring I have were a little more expensive than most of the spring they offer they had to special order them, they did not have any thing that stiff.

Just call them and tell them how much you weigh and what kind of rider you are and they will recomend which spring weight you should use.

1127 to 1299 I got the pads for 29.99 a set from parts411.com I also got the galfer brake lines from them for 79.00 for a set of front SS. I have not installed them yet so I don't have any feedback on the SS lines but if they improve the brakes even more I will be shocked.

The only thing is that the brakes have a whine to them I'm hoping when they break in it will go away.

One more thing I would like to add is the brakes were very easy to install took me about 15 min to do boths sides and that is the first time I have done brakes on any street bike. Most of the time was making sure the calipers were clean before I put them back together.
