So I was watching the Full Leathers thread, and considering doing a few track days with my Busa and some friends. I seen the Frank Thomas 2pc Strike suit that CycleGear had on sale, my color and size was available. However, the wife wasn't feeling the love that day. So, we discussed it yesterday and she was cool with me buying it for my Christmas gift. I go to Cyclegears page, very pumped up about it too. Look at the Jacket, add to cart and move to get the pants....BAM NO PANTS LEFT! WTF? How could they have went from having all sorts of sizes and colors left and then a couple hours later none? Damnit. I'm going to call today to see whats up. When I looked earlier yesterday they had a few sizes in each color (I was looking at the Black/Green for myself) and a few hours later "Invalid Item Number" comes up. Search by Brand, nope. What a terrible thing. Should have stuck with the theory its better to ask forgiveness than permission.

call and check. websites are not ALWAYS accurately matched with real world inventory. worth a shot

The website is only as smart as the guy coding it, he/she could have screwed it up adding a picture. Give them a call.

Call Kevin at MR Cycles (Vman1300). They sell full leathers & 2 piece as well and being a board sponser and a swell guy he might be able to do good on ya.

Well, in the frustration of life, I called most all suppliers, and even some not listed looking for that particular set.....nada. Ended up getting ahold of Tiffany on Cyclegears toll-free line, she checked and sure enough, somehow much of the street gear was fubar'd on-line. She pulled and inventory from the main computer, found 1pr of 34 pants remaining (Black and Green) and a few jackets, called me back and I ordered them up. I was so happy at lunch. This is part of my Christmas from my wife...added to the Paint job she is paying for (and a new set of those sexy CZ V6 wheels during tax return...she loves me). I even gave the board a little shout-out, Tiff asked how I heard of CG, so I mentioned the board and the post on Full Leathers.
Time to order up some new racing gloves, and either the Sidi Strada Air's or their junior line-up, a pair of Setup's. The Sidi's seem a slight bit narrower than their Setup's are.

For those interested, I am getting ordering my wifes 20" Black Rhino "Horn" wheels and tires for her Trailblazer for her gift...man will she be surprised, can't wait.

Cool... Glad you were able to get the suit you wanted. I bought a a Frank Thomas all black suit from cycle gear. Felt great at the store but after I got it home I tried the pants on a second time and sat on the bike. The zipper top kept coming out and would have rubbed the tank. Anyhow I took them back and I was going to get an Alpine Star 2 piece from GM Busa for a great price; however, I took one more look at Cycle Gear and they had a sale on a 2 piece suit from Dainese. So... thats what I ended up with. Very comfortable and a very nice product.

Still searching for the right gloves...Dont think I need the extent of protection that some of the $100+ gloves offer...but I did like the Alpinestars GP Plus Pro...and there are a few others similar to them from $79-$120, so try-on and error time. Boots I am thinking for sure the Setup Vision will suit me very nicely. If I were to be seeing the track, Arroyo Seco in Deming, NM. then I could justify the more pricey stuff, but the occasional outings I will do just doesnt add up at this point.

Well, I hope they are comfy...and the clearance was only $119 OTD so price wise I missed a few dollars... Need to forecast better I guess, which will end up saving me $ in the long run.

ya just read up to see that you got em -- they matched my technic jacket perfect -- so i got a full set of leathers for under 250
I got blue black and white to match my busa tho
