Occasional \'clunk\' noise

I am experiencing an occasional clunk sound on slow-speed pick-up i.e. when just moving off or after very slow cornering. Sounds a bit like a stiff link in the chain (which I have checked out and look's ok) or maybe some movement in the drive sprocket. I can really feel it through the pegs. My dealer is going to check it out when he fits a new rear tyre tomorrow.
Anyone else having this problem ?

I believe what you are hearing is the cluctch assembly. It is cam so that it will allow the clutch to slip. BUT the draw back is that when you get back on it after a turn it will have to come off the cam and lock the cluch.

This might not make much sense unless you know what the cam assembly looks like. I hear this too if you engine break to a stop and then go to take off, you possibly would hear/feel the same sounds.

Thanks speed, thats an interesting thought and I think I understood it! I'll mention it to the dealer and hope that I don't need to worry about it.
