OEM gas cap.

I tried out a threaded gap and didn't like it. I put the stocker back on and a o-ring popped out at me.
47mm o-ring popped out of somewhere on this and I cant figure out were it goes any help would be wonderful.

mine closes all the way and doesn't leak but also doesn't sit flush with the top of the tank....???
