OEM Grip heater

Does anyone have the OEM Grip heaters installed?
Are they worth it?
I'm pretty sure they're made by koso and I've found them on Amazon for 120 bucks versus whatever suzuki is trying to charge. I'm actually looking at ordering a set since one of my Oxford heated grips decided to go out on me shortly after I installed them . I definitely liked having heated grips on cooler nights so I'm hoping the koso hold up better especially since they don't have the extra controller piece that i didn't like with the Oxfords.

I prefer heated gloves too.
Keeps your entire hands warm, not just the grip area, but the backs of your hands that are exposed to cold wind.
Plus no hassle with grips.
Heated gloves with a thermostat are nice too. Without a thermostat, I have to plug in or unplug my gloves, depending on temperature, which can vary greatly riding up and down at elavation.

The set that would be used on the busa would be the 7/8"-1", correct? If understand correctly it is to accommodate the throttle grip tube.

I don’t get grip heaters. The tops of the hands get cold not the palms. And in order to fully realize the effects of warm grips do you wear thin gloves? And with thin summer gloves won’t the tops of your hands get cold?
I don't ride the Busa in cold weather, sort of defeats the purpose for me as I hate being wrapped up in tons of layers of gear. On the other hand, I ride the BMW in just about anything. I really like the heated grips. I don't like heated gear so much though as it feels drafty to me. I wear my heated gloves with no power over the heated grips. Keeping the top of your hand warm is mostly about wind exposure and the heated glove fixes that even off. I like just enough heat to keep my fingers from going numb. So even in the 5th or 6th hour of riding at 40 degrees F, it is comfortably warm. I rarely use the high setting as it is a bit toasty.

So I guess I love heated gloves and consider them a safety feature as much as for comfort.

In your last sentence you really meant heated grips not gloves right? My heated gloves that I seldom use are great cold weather gloves w/o turning them on. I doubt I’d even feel a heated grip with them or my usual cold weather gloves on.
