Off to Chino, CA

It's cold and wet here in Pacifica, CA... I am about to hop on Smaug, gas up and roll down to Chino.

Chino is a backside burb of LA. To get there I will run down 101 to 152 (Pacheaco Pass) over to I-5, that will take me through the Central Valley to the "Grapevine" which goes over into the LA basin. From there I will pick up 210 to 71 and into Chino. I am not too sure how long it will take me today... weather and all.

Wish me luck and you LA'vien's be on the look out for me and Smaug.

Call me if you want to hook up in the PM either Tues, Wed, or Thurs.

Chino a bad place??? I live within 10 miles from Chino and Chino is quite safe compared to most L.A. places

. Nice housing is going up quickly in the area now that the cow pastures are rapidly dissapearing. I would not think my safty was in jepordy for a moment in Chino.

I'm here on 71 at the new Hampton in.

Some 400 miles and just under 7 hours... GPS top speed of 115. Not too sore either.

When i went to school there 15+ years ago it wasnt a plesent place to be with all the gangs and violence and such. I guess things have changed...

35 years ago i went to school there to.... Well it's kind of a school ... Chino school for bad boys ...Same place Steve McQueen went to as a youth along with my dad for joy riding in other people cars...lol....

Chino has done lot's of things to clean up it's act. Like in all citys however there may still be a bad element.
