Today I rode up to a place called Eagle Vision, its a small motorcycle place up by Horse Pens 40, they have a store with a little bit of everything and a repair shop for any bike problems, they serve some food and have beer. anyway, Im about to mount up and leave this place when the owner comes over and interduces himself, and chats with me for a minute, thanks me for stopping by, invited me back, then he notices my front tire, which is fairly new and says that im about in need of a new tire, I told him it was fairly new, he pushed in on the tire and says I think you have a low tire, so i pull around for him to check it and sure nuff, its got 15 pounds in it, I told him I felt like the bike had been riding different since I had gotten back on it after my bypass surgery, but I thought i was gonna have to re-adjust the suspension because I had lost 50 pounds, but dopey me, i just assumed that it didnt look low, that it had enough air it, but wow what a difference the ride home was, it cornered like the bike had tires with a razors edge, from now on I need to be more active on keeping a check on my tire pressure

I think thats on the check list of things to look at EVERY time you ride it (daily anyway). Your not the only one guilty for not doing so..
I was just pushing on my tires earlier today, and the real kicker is that a Tire Pressure Guage is 5 feet away on the table:banghead:. I will use it now.
Glad to hear that you are back up and riding again after bypass surgery.

yrs ago the front tire on my cbr1000 unknowingly to me was running very low. after about 700 miles it wore down to almost nothing. I was shocked. but I also learned a lesson. monitoring tire pressure is very important, should be done frequently.

no issues of this nature since than....
