How do you decode the numbers on an Ohlins rear spring?
I've seen a few decently priced used rear Ohlins for my 2003 Suzuki Gsxr1000, about a 3rd the price of a new Traxxion, or less, and I can rebuild it.
I just don't know how to read what spring rate they are.
I'm about 190-195lbs in gear.

This help?

Yes sir it does.
I had looked on Ohlins site a few months ago, but they offered nothing for a 2003/04 Gsxr1000 anymore, so I just moved on.
That 1091 means 160mm length spring, and the 34/100 is for a 190-200lb rider.
The 34 works, but the 160mm length is way too short, as the stock rear spring is 195mm.
The search continues
Thanks for posting that, it answered my questions, and I appreciate it.

Dimensions? Whaddya mean exactly?

How long the shock itself is, from eyelet to eyelet/top mounting hole to bottom mounting hole, center to center.
I need a shock that is the same overall height as the stock shock(or only slightly shorter).
So the used Ohlins shock I was looking at has a spring that is 35mm shorter than the stock spring, but if the overall height of the shock's body/mounting holes makes up most or all of that difference, then it will still work without lowering the rear of the bike...which I suppose I could overcome with adjustable rear links, which probably aren't a bad idea anyway.
