Oil catch tank

You have a super charger or turbo? If so then your crank case can generate pressure and I would recommend a vent to atmosphere catch can. Besides that the amount of vapors released to atmosphere or intake is extremely low compared to a boost application. You won't see any added hp with this mod for NA as this is a massive topic already on the automobile threads.

Also if you do be careful on which catch can you use and the battle material used depending on fuel. Example, any catch cans with a spunge like baffle disintegrates with high ethanol fuels vs 10-100 micron metal baffles.

We also have 2 port injectors per cylinder to wash the intake valves clean of any carbon build up. The best thing is to always use top grade fuel like Chevron vs junk fuel like race track.

Ok and what about the hot air vented to the air box vs after the mod that you dont have it any more isnt that beneficial?

This is argued 1000 times over on all platforms and as I would agree but no really proven actual HP gain from this with a factory engine aspect. Now if the gen3 was direct injected only engine then catch cans would be a MUST mod. Figure all the heatsoak under the tank, airbox, throttle bodies and everything a little hot air from the tube isn't going to change anything.

But I agree any unburnt gases not entering the engine would be good but also think of the crack case having a vacuum applied because the airbox also helps the internals rev freely, gaskets, seals from blow outs. The pressure will want to leave somewhere and all engines have blow-by. Boosted engines can build boost in the case. My car at 40psi with vent to atmosphere because I saw 2psi with an AEM gauge custom mounted on my engine case. I have since added custom -6an dump tubes to my heads and oil cap to knock that out.

Built engine go for it, factory engine this adds nothing. Just remember oil is cheaper than an engine. Change it more frequently vs push that 5k mile mark.

I will have a supercharger and I am considering the DME extended swingarm that can come with an oil separator can.

Thanks for the info!
