Greetings,

Just did the oil/filter a while back. I removed the one end of the oil line from the oil cooler which allowed for easy access to the filter.

I ordered up some spare 90 cent gaskets from Suzuki with another order. You probably could use the old one but why chance it.

Coat the gasket with a little grease, use a little loctite and torque to 7 ft. lbs. (84 inch lbs.) Check for leaks.

i guess its good to have narrow wrists and small hands cause i dont have a problem getting to the filter through the headers!

I think it depends on the headers. On my Muzzy - there is NO way the filter is coming out without either removing the above mentioned oil line or the lower oil cooler bracket.

Personally, I remove the lower bracket; it's free - no gasket(s) to replace.

not with these pipes..no way will it come out.

It was the only option I had.
