Gotcha. Just checking.

I have only done 1 oil change, currently 1400 miles and was wondering when a good time to switch would be or if sythetic is that much better?

I did switch right after break-in... like 700 miles and it's been running great since... smoother shifting...

This is from the Mobil site... You can use them with confidence, knowing they will protect your bike in extreme situations where conventional motor oils simply cannot compare, including extended high-speed operation and prolonged idling in summertime traffic.

Since 1600 miles I have used Mobil 1. GOOD STUFF!!!

I noticed smoother shifting compared to the Suzuki dyno oil used for the first 1600 (Oil changes at 100, and 600 miles) At 1600 I went to Mobil 1 and have used it for every oil change since. Now have 8000 miles and she runs and shifts smooooooth - better than new.

I do still use the Suzuki filter.... Remember reading somewhere it filtered better than others... I frget where I read that

I haven't seen any posts about this but does anyone notice the 3300ml spec on the oil only shows in the oil level window to be just above the low indicator mark. I have always been curious about that.

I use the Mobil 1 and a Wix filter (usually instock at Orielly's), however, my case of Royal purple just got here yesterday, so I will be changing oil this weekend.

Hey man,

I have used that exact part for my oil change. Problem is pep boys doesn't carry it anymore where I live. Have to use the OEM suzuki oil filter.

I can vouch for the purolator doing it's job well. Done around 3K and it's been smooth and clean.

I'd stay away from FRAM. Heard nasty things. Have you seen what the filter itself is like? It's like cardboard and dissenigrates like cardboard too.

is the 10w 40 standard or can you use 5w 40? I run synthetic oil and was using 10 w 40 but bought the 5w 40 castrol superbike 4T.
