Initially, I am new to the board and new to busa's (actually get mine at the end of the month). What type of oil filters does everyone use or suggest? I see posts on the oil but nothing on the filters.

Welcome to the org!

I typical use the K&N oil filter~ No particular reasoning, mostly for the K&N reputation... plus I wanted more stickers!

Ill let you in on a secret that will save you 4 bucks. oem suzuki filters are fram filters...cost 10 dollars. Walmart sells fram motorcycle filters for 6 bucks.

Mobil has a newly released Extended Performance filter to go with their 15k mile oil . I would imagine one can be cross referenced .

K&N makes a good filter

The Suzuki filters I have here are not Frams .

All of the above would be great for 1 year oil service when using a good synthetic that will last that long .

The STP SMO-18 is a nice filter for the dino oil users that are changing often .

Welcome to the board!!

I had to settle for the LE. Actually since February I have been trying to talk my wife into the Gunmetal. The dealer did not have a black and silver in, so he asked me if I wanted the LE. I said hells yeah.

Great color choice! I use EMGO brand filters. I think around 6 bucks, or the Suzuki filter for @$10

There are not marked all up with them and neither is the fram but they have the same exact words on them i checked unless the dealer gave me a fram and not an oem. Either way it fits
alot of dealers sell fram filters

the oem filter should say suzuki on it and the part number is 16510-03G00-X07

well i saw the "motorcycle" oil filter sold @ walmart now. fram i think, anyway what is the part # for the hayabusa fitment?
