oil gauge installation

Let me introduce myself for starters.

Im Eddie from Scotland , i have built a classic mini fitted with a standard 1999 hayabusa engine in the rear ( Z Cars ) if you want a look at the company that builds the frames.

i want to fit an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and need to know what thread the existing oil pressure sender is so that i can order the parts to do the job, any help appreciated

the OE oil pressure sensor is a simple 1/8" npt

Does the ECU need the input from the stock oil pressure sending unit or is it just tied to the dummy light?
