OK I have a little rant.

looks great. turned out aok in the end, looks like. good for you. its a beauty. ps...be wary of the shinkos....i personally think they are dangerous in the curves..esp. this time of year....cold pavement..sell um.. and put dunlop q2s or similar.

Here is the best part... You will run into folks that really just have never been exposed to maint on a bike or doing mods to them.. On the org we thrive to help others learn and be creative. Post up changes that you make to your bike and how you did it and others will try it, some will like some won't but dont be bashful about sharing. When you go to an event find someone and help em out, educate them...

Great color by the way :)

I've learned quiet a bit from the org. Also I would never claim to be a mechanic or something I wasn't. I only give my opinion on topics that I know about. I stay out of the ones I dont know.

The most amazing one so far was the simple marble mod. It still cracks me up that the simple mod worked.

Agreed on the shinkos, I have never cared for them on any of my bikes. I have heard they are good for drag racing but thats not really what im into. I was looking at some power 3's but the shinkos were brand spanking new and just couldnt bring myself to take em off just yet.....they will probably be gone by end of winter

If the money is ok and you are happy with what you ended up than all is well...it looks great...if the chain was out of shape maybe the sprockets are beat up also...did you do the fork seals yourself? If you have a few extra dollars a seat that is made for you is more comfortable than the stock one. I have a 07 black frame / panels...without the stickers is a cool look also. Are you a ford / mustang fan?

I have not done the seals yet, I have never done them before. I just tried the trick with a home made "seal mate" and they are not leaking anymore. I will know for sure next time I can take it out for a short ride. The sprockets were replaced with the DID Xring chain i replaced the old one with.

Ford man you could say haha other than the busa thats all that is in my driveway......

I confess I didn't know that much about the Busa when I got mine. I was thinking of upgrading from a Bandit to a Gixxer 1K. I knew the busa was fast and powerful but not the level of detail I would arm myself with before buying now. I looked at it, liked the size, liked the weight over the 1K (yes, I liked the weight) and I liked the riding position. So I bought it. Didn't really know it until months later.

I love bursting seller's bubbles when they are asking $11,000 for a gen 1 LE model just because it is an LE... Really? I ask if they have done their price research and they ususally say "it's a fair price." I say, "maybe at Disney World where a meal is $50, but not here."

Sad but a lot of people just buy them because they heard "____" about them and it's a Hayabusa! :banghead:

Looks good and glad you are happy! :beerchug:

Only question/problem is a) either it's not a 2006 or b)it's been wrecked and repaired with 2007 plastics/frame.

2006 model colors:

Are you looking at the title or frame for build date?

My guess is it's a 2007 with a late '06 build date on the frame. Otherwise, someone messed up the title...

No it is an 06, the day I went to look at it I noticed it had been painted. From the backs of the plastics it looks like its all from the same set... Overspray. Not saying for sure it's the original plastics but who knows. My guy at the zuk dealer said. Whoever did it did a hell of a job painting it, decaling it and making it look like an 07. Why it was painted who knows. I can only hope it's because the original owner did not like the black/red scheme. The frame and forks are true. Even down to all the stickers on the frame are there.

Who really knows but the title is clear and I love the bike.

I am a white busa all the way but The Black on Black looks tough.

Check the oil drain plug make sure it isnt stripped also make sure they didnt install a 2nd battery sidways under the hump

So was it actually a Limited Edition then or did he have the entire bike taken apart for powder coating? Or are you saying he painted the frame, swingarm, etc.?

Seems odd to go through all that trouble... ???

It's got to be a Limited Edition if it's a 2006 then....have you checked the VIN with Suzuki America?

good deal then.
when i got my busa i thought it was a sport bike. and a sport bike was a sport bike, some just have bigger engines. :dunno:

:learn: boy, have i learned alot in the last 5 years.

ok, mystery solved.....somewhat. It was originaly black and gray. I guess someone rode it too fast and all the gray flew off:laugh:

Either way It looks great. And shes my baby lol

Good looking bike but then that means that the frame and swing arm were both powdercoated. The only 2006 model with a black frame was the LE White.
