Now I know that Hayabusa is a japanese or chinese bird of some sort, which I'de like to know about also. BUT what I want to know is what does it have to do with the bike? I have seen the "bird o prey" paint schemes and stuff but I still dun get it.

and by the way.... I am a newbie but I've been around bikes for years and I have never heard the story and have looked on the web and still nothing

If I'm not mistaking the Hayabusa bird is known for sweeping down on its prey at a insane speed of 150 + miles per hour.  No BS!!!!

speeds of 200 mph when diving towards it's prey.
