Ok not that i am un-happy about it...

OK So last week I bough the New Tommy Gun RX7 Corsair....


Now don't get me wrong I love the helmet, amazing ventilation, near weightless and a paint scheme that Guarantees I Get seen in traffic...

BUT, doesn't work for the Harleys, Nor does yea olde Trusty Rear- I mean RE-Entry...

Trust me I tried it today.... Felt way outta place.


SO I went up to my old shop and after much thought decided on a Drumroll!!!!!!

Shoei RF1000 Diabolic... Hell it's been staring at me for about a year and I always thought it would make a great Cruiser lid... So there it is, I bought my first Shoei in 10 years. It's a newer lid and they have made a lot of improvements over the years, still no Arai, But right up there, the one place I really notice the difference is in the quality of the graphics, Arai does a much nicer job. But this helmet is cool... and has "Cruiser Guy" written all over it...

And the rear... See SEE there is a SKULL THERE!!! That's how you know it's tough!!!!

But it fits good and I like it...

Also got a better pair of cold weather gloves. Just some Joe Rocket Water Proofs...

Yeah, I just cannot stand SageRonin having more lids to choose from than I so I had to have another. Actually I think I have spent enough on lids and crap for a few months. I'm done, cept maybe a fog city...

I'll get some silver and Black reflective tape on there, and I should be good to go. Sorry bout all the "looky at my cool new shid!" Threads, I've just kinda gotten myself all wrapped up here lately and am having fun. Part of it is making real money again. Doubling plus another 30% or your annual salary in a week will do that to a guy...

Still not making what I was in Tampa, but I am working with bike stuff and LOVING my job... Been real busy but it's been fun...

Thanks for putting up with me folks, I feel like I am all Yeah!! Yeah!!! When other folks are having a hard time but should I be quiet and feel bad... I dunno... anyhoo... FWIW.

Cool man! I really expected to see you get one of those carbon fiber "beanies". That is what looks "right" on a V-twin cruiser! I know...I know..full face is the smart move, I agree. However, I see a 1/2/ helmet and some Panoptics in your future!!

And what about gear? Any self respecting Harley rider CAN'T be caught riding in leather pants with pucs! Ya gotta have chaps!!

Oh yea,,,the Alpinestar (Joe Rocket, whatever) jacket won't do!!! You must sport the "cruiser" type jacket!!

Totally different gear man!! But don't feel bad. I have 2 complete sets as well... Got a 100th anniversary (limited edition) jacket, and a HD #1 "sporty" style jacket....some chaps...fingerless gloves (ee-gad!).

Prepare yourself, my friend. It is a whole new world!!

Heh, I am keeping my Alpinstars jacket for now, it matches the helmet well, still has armour, and isn't too bright. Ya figure it's Grey, Black and a little white so it should work great...

that helmet looks fine on a HD. i use my shoie vermeulem when i use my in-laws HD. goes good with color scheme. and helmet fits good. also, just received matching helmet for my bike, which is a rf-1000. which feels good.

Nice helmet. I find it kind of weird to see a cruiser with the rider using a full face helmet. It's because out here you don't see that.
Then again it's always hot out here. Me personally if I ever have a cruiser I will wear a full face, I just don't trust those open face ones.

Nice lid Rev, it is always cool when someone gets something new. I don't think no one would really get upset over it. I don't think you would lose to much sleep over it.
