Just wondering what harm this would do if removed as found mine is and looking at having a hard time figuring out what it would normally connect to. I just see some black shrink wrap around the sensor and looks like a resitor mounted to the sensor. Is there another more common name for this sensor as not seeing much info about it when trying to search.

Here is another pic and one showing the resistor inside. I am thinking this was like done as looks like has the pair valve mod done prior to me owning this. Was that resitor maybe inserted to prevent from throwing a code, but I though this was only for the Gen2 ''08 plus and mine is an '07. Can I just snip the wires and cap them?
