Day started great, my 1 guy and me way ahead of schedule, the other 2 are on vac, sitting pretty to go into the short week. One of the leads ask me if i will be bringing breakfast sat morning. Um Yvette i'm not working tomorrow we're 3 hours ahead. Well dean says your opening tomorrow. Basically everyone in the shop but my crew is behind and working saturday, apparently it was between me and yvette to open the shop and she pulled her usual tricky crap and put me under the bus. Kinda pissed off but hey ot is ot and my overtime rate is ridiculous
. So end of the day i go ask the supervisor hey whats the deal with me opening. He goes what dean told yvette to ask you if you wanted to come in if not she had to. She's left for the day and her keys are sitting on her desk...So now i'm pretty pissed, granted probably only 4 hours but i got a ton i have to get done this weekend and will be getting a late start(besides who likes getting up at 0330 on a saturday to go to work?)
So get home need to get the cabinet doors on this welding cart my moms got me building for my dad for xmas. Cut out diamond plate at work to use so stopped at ace and picked up these fancy self closing industrial hinges i figured would work great for it. Get home fit the "doors" grind down the tread on the diamond plate so the hinges sit flush, rivet the hinges on and guess what they arent worth a crap.. Luckily i only did one side to see how they'd work out but now the diamond plate cant be used since the holes i drilled and treads i ground down will show, so i have to dig up more tomorrow when i'm at the shop
Wanted to have the cart primed tonight so i could spray the bed liner on it tomorrow, then figured tomorrow evening i'd put the doors on it and get it all shiny'd up and not be in a last minute rush next week, looks like that wont happen and its a busy weekend.
Need to replace brake controller in truck
Pick up the little beater truck i bought 60 miles north of me
Pick up the trailer to get the beater truck 30 miles east of me
Finish the cart
Attempt to get something done on the bike
Apple tree needs trimming bad
Was supposed to go to the ex's graduation party for getting her masters
Garage is a disaster
Oven is acting up need to diagnose that
And best of all get to go to work at 5am tomorrow
