I received my guage faces and will be attempting the change soon....

Question:
The needle must be removed and I am concerned about putting it back on in the same exact position..

If it doesn't go back on in the same exact 6:00 position, and its more like 5:30 or 6:30, will my speedo or tach be off?

...or are the guages calibrated from the stopper each time the key is turned on?

Thanks for the help... I have been thinking and stressing about this since i received the guage faces in the mail.

When you will place your neddle back at is original position don`t close your gauge case and don`t installe your gauge back just plug your gauge back and wait you will know right now if your neddle are at the right place, ERIK/MOTOTECK for any info please E-MAIL me..

BB, when you are removing the needles, hold the needle lightly against the stop with one hand while prying up with a tool in the other. Put tape over the screws to avoid scratches when removing. It can be done with a screwdriver, but a slotted tool with a bend in it like Erik uses in his website instructions is better. I used a screwdriver with a small piece of plastic tubing to act as a fulcrum and went from one side to the other when removing the needle. The shaft the needle is mounted on is long and you don't want to bend it.

Installing the needle involves holding the needle against the stop with one hand while gently pressing the shaft into the hole with the other. Easy.

Erik, great product. I love mine.
