Paint Chipping

Hello all, the only issue I seem to be having with my new Busa is paint chipping around the front lower edges of the fairing.  I would imagine this is normal but its making me mad.  Is there anything that can be done or am I stuck with having to use touch up paint forever ?

Yep...well all have that problem....should have stuck some heavy duty clear plastic down there....Hmmm, would be cool if someone could make a stainless guard,
to attach down there with sticky tape....

Yeah, road grit and bugs have ravaged the leading edges of my busa... Just start saving for a repaint or a fresh set of plastics. There are some products out there to protect your paint, Vinyl sheets and such, but if it's damaged... it's too late...

IF the paint is peeling, and your bike is under warranty you may be able to get new plastics from Suzuki... a buddy of mine is getting new plastics for his '03 Gixxer1K as it peeling near the belly pan.. Might be worth a shot.

the paint they use on suzukis suck ass. my 03 gixxer got chips in the paint all over the place after only 8000 miles of riding. my 10 year old zx11 had less rock chips on it than my gixxer had.

my busa has 2000 miles on it and it has a chip in the paint on the upper fairing caused by a bug! all i did was wipe the bug off and the paint came with it!
