Hey guys, I haven't been on this site in some time.. been busy with work like crazy.
So anyways, right before winter we went out riding and I (the idiot I am) let my buddy ride my busa and he ends up dropping it doin about 40mph or so.. so now the whole right side is messed up and needs to get painted. He's paying for the damages which were appraised at about $500 and I was thinkin to just pay the difference and do something different with the paint, but I am clueless on what i'd like. I'd like to see what you guys would come up with?
Its a 07 blue busa btw.. so lets see what you guys think I should do? Thanks
 
Is their a style you like.

Solids vs grapics

Then type of graphics you like if any. Stock type vinyls crazy airbrush old school leafing and pin stripes.

Bright colors vs more muted

Candys pearls mettalics.

Endless possibilities man.

I would find a painter that does a type of work you like. And turn him loose if you want a wild job. Or go to the paint house and look at chips and colors a few times.

I think a race replica type job blue and black broken by some silver leaf would be awesome.

It is a hard choice to change a color scheme. How are your other panels...do they need to be touched up...such as the nose / side meeting point? One thing that might save some costs of a complete custom job is to paint the damaged side the stock colors and the incorporate a design over the rest of the bike...covering nicks and scratches throught the entire bike with you design...vs scuffing all the panels and priming them and starting from a 100% new standpoint.

Would you like a design that travels down the nose / tank / and into the rear cowl? Same or different on each side? With multiple colors you could have both sides totally different...there are so many possibilities, but that is what makes it cool and unique.
 
Id say cruise for pics here and other sites, all sport bikes, not just Busa's. See what grabs ya and that can give you an idea of what you want. A custom paint job can be subtle and most people will like it, or it can be outrageous and only a few will like it. Its all up to you bro:thumbsup:
 
As far as the damage goes the nose is a little scraped up as well so I have no choice but to get the whole bike painted. I was thinking about doing some crazy airbrush work since I'm good friends with a awesome artist but then what when I wanna sell her, so thats why I think ill stick with something simple.
What do you guys think of the marble effect? I actually like those alot. Im not a big fan of two tone unless it fades from one color to another.
I've been looking at a ton of pictures but just cant make up my mind. :banghead:
