Painted cans on my

This is what I want to do. You tell me if you think it will work. Of course you all know what the red & black 05 looks like. Here it is for reference.

I want to paint the cans using Dupli-Color Engine Enamel gloss black. Then put a coat of Dupli-Color Nite Lites clear over the black.

In doing this I'm hoping to have gloss black cans in daylight and glowing cans at night

Easier to be seen!?

Do you think it will work. I hope the engine enamel paint will provide enough heat protection for the Nite Lites clear paint.

I think it'll be different, it will look good as a matter of fact, but how is the heat off the exhaust going to affect the finish?

those cans stay cool you should be fine , i have done a couple highspeed runs after an hour or so of hard ridin , and you can put your hand on the can without gettin burned , the mid pipe is a different story, sill not as hot as a single walled pipe but it will turn bare skin into melted swiss!

Unfortunately I will need to wait until spring when the weather is warmer. I think it's now too cold to paint.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to paint the grab rail with the clear Nite Lites too.

By the time I'm done with my bike it will look like a freakin UFO at night
