Painted frames?

Hey guys, nice meeting you all. Does anyone have anything to say about the blacked out frames on the limited edition Busas? I am about to purchase an 04 next week and have some concerns about the paint chipping. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have never seen any chip. I have seen wear marks from boots rubbing at shift points and brake area but, I recommend that they use a heel guard or carbon fiber stick on to prevent it. Wear marks will show on anything; chrome, painted, polished, whatever. It is about how you plan for it. If it is a show bike, put a guard on it. I let mine go, it is a stock gray frame that will be chromed later so, no worries.

The black frame is quite durable and looks great IMHO. But it will show small scratches and buff marks that would not show up as easily on the standard unpainted frame. I have an '03 LE with the black frame and I love it but I do have a few minor scratches that you can see if you look close enough.
