Painted windscreen?

I just put on a LP windscreen...looks OK but is bush league quality compared to stocker...my question is ..has anyone ever tried to paint a stock windscreen..possibly black or maybe with some of the chrome paint that you see around. I do not want a taller screen such as the ZG..only darker..a chrome one would look great on blue....they are so low you can`t see through them anyway. Thanks in advance!!!

titanium tint gives that mirror like finish, plus you can still look through it (from your side). might be hard to do that much of a curve with tint, since its a compound curve, it'd be worth going to a good tint shop to find out.

Ti tint comes either in chrome or gold.

Cbx: Number 1, I wouldn't paint My wind screen!

But if I did I would paint a clear one from the back side.

It looks more Professional....

Btw! How are You going to see when your in a Tuck?

CBX, Those who have told you to paint the inside of the windscreen are correct. Just make sure the surface is clean and start out just dusting on the paint. Keep dusting on each coat until finished. This will keep you from having any runs and will help to keep the paint from chiping off. This method takes a little longer but is well worth the time. I've done this a couple of times and it looks great.

Zero Gravity sells a solid black non transparent Double Bubble for the Busa now.

If you have ever look at R/C car bodies they are lexan and they are painted on the inside. The kind of paint they use does not harm plastic.

Frank when you get as old as me you can forget that tuck...he he...my tool sheds also in the way....hey guys thanks for the ideas...keep em coming....I`m going to try something....

Hey Chris, If your Tool Shed is in the way then I have to say that your doing the WRONG mod! Ho Ho ho....Old Man!

And Hoss, I don't know if you have ever looked at all the Z-G'S wind screens or not but they have three different Screens now and one of them is a Dragrace version.

You know, You might want to Tuck behind your Screen to get away from Rocks being thrown from the traffic in front of you. Or some other elements.

Damn! I'd hate to see you crash because you couldn't see where you were going...

...Frank

Street Gold can chrome or gold plate plastic. I have a gold arai helmet that is off the hook. You will not be able to see through it at all. The only downside is it will chip and scracth pretty easy. The phone number is 714-639-4653

I paint all my stock screens black, be sure to paint from the inside and you dont have to worry about any scratches in the paint.
