I did a search and didnt come up wihth what I need.I have the blockoff plates coming so I need to know if I can take this whole thing out, do I need a plug to trick the ecu that its still there??They sell one for the gen 2 that plugs in and looks like it has a resister inline to fool the ecu that its still plugged in.Would like to get rid of it all.Mine doesnt pop or backfire on decel, just want it off while I am in there doing stuff.

take it all off. plug the line up by the air box. leave the bracket that is help on by the case bolt. no plug ...wait is your GENI or GENII?

You can use the ECU Editor to just turn the PAIR off. No tricking necessary.

But if I unplug it for now will it throw the FI light??I heard it will but is that a gen2.I have a gen 1.I didnt see a spot on the editor to turn it off.

When I took mine off I just removed it all and plugged the vacuum line by the air box and plugged the air box hole and installed the block off covers.

All was good. Never threw a FI

Sorry, I misunderstood. I don't know about the Gen I.

Cool.I will rip it off then when the plates come.I just thought the ecu needed to see a return signal that it was working.

just dont mess with the bracket that is bolted with the case bolt. No sense in risking a leak. it will be fine in there.

I actually used mine on my 05 to hold my safety wire. I removed the one on my 06 when I split the cases.
