Paris show GSXR

Been there, done that. 8-)

Was in Paris last Friday and saw it all with my own eyes.

Must say that the Bikenet report and pics seem like a waste of space in some respects.
Quality of the pics is poor, the leading pic in the ZX-12R story is of the ZX7, the contents of their story about the ZX-12R is even worse marketing bubbles than what we're used to on this board by now and e.g. they even missed out on a lovely new bike Laverda had on display for the first time, the Lynx, showing a Suzuki SV650 engine in a beautiful Italian wrapper!

More positive notes: The new Busa colour (blue with silver) looks darn good in real life too. Lots of stuff from Yosh Japan now available thanks to their new 207HP racer. Unfortunately no tophalf or 3/4 fairings yet for the Busa, so it seems like I will have to make that engine more visible myself by starting on the fairing-sides with a hacksaw?

Oh, BTW, new Bridgestone BT-010 seems the biz and might be a very good alternative for the Mich Pilots?

Animal: How did the ZX-12 look in real life? What colors were there, which looked the best?
No flames, I just want to know if real life looks better or worse than the pictures. Does it look clean?
Thanks,

Think it looks pretty good in real life.
According to Kaw France brochure, colours will be green, red and grey and personally I think the grey looks veeeeeeeeeeery good, but then again I'm a bore as far as colours go and I prefer 1 single solid colour and even think about how it will look when it gets dirty because I'm not much of a cleaner.
I never bought my Busa for its looks, so I'm not afraid of admitting that for looks alone I would go for the ZX-12R straightaway.
Keep those flames coming?
Only detail I don't like is the see-through part where you see the throttle bores and the 3 cables (pull/push/fast-idle like Busa) in plain sight.

Thanks for the feedback Animal. Did you get a chance to see the new Green ZX-12? How did it look? Does it have a metallic paint job, the pictures look like a bit of metallic fleck in the paint.
Thanks

You are nuts to have your own opinion Animal. Personal preference does not count here in the first grade you must follow the herd instinct.

They had 2 ZX-12R's on display, a red one on a revolving plateau with also the new ZX9 and ZX6 on it and a green one in a cut-up see-through version in sort of a glass case.
From that green one and the brochure pics it seemed like standard issue Kwak green to me.
