I was updating my new Passport 9500ix database locations and it was taking a looong time. Here is a snip from my chat with Escort Radar. Check out the response to "I guess you are saying it won't harm it?"
you: The unit says USB and the software indicates "Reading your truelock & marked locations"
Joni: I would try removing the program and then redownloading it. See if that helps.
you: How do I stop this update?
you: There is no cancel update
Joni: Can you use your task manager?
you: I can, but don't want to mess up the update?
you: I guess you are saying it won't harm it?

Joni: Lol... It should not harm it. If you do not wish to do it that way you can waith for it to finish then try.
