Took off from the Springs up 24 out to Florissant. God's country -- 100mph sweepers, only a few RVs and local trucks to worry about. Rolling hills and forests at 8000ft, little country stores, snow-capped mountains in the distance.
Took Teller #1 down to Crippler Creek and shook my head awile at all the geezers with O2 bottles out to gamble. Found out that, in fact, the Gold Camp Road was all dirt, so I worked my way back on 67.
Hit 10k feet on the GPS and the sweepers and switchbacks. At that altitude at around 100mph the 'Busa sings a loud, grisly song. Rain and hail, but it didn't bother the mountain goats above me on the verticall rock so I was not troubled.
Nice state .
