PC III Question

Hey guy.. I need a recomendation...

I have a 01 busa. I never had it dyno'd yet. I have a downloaded map. Last summer when I rode regular I had no problem. I was in a parade with stop and go traffic and the bike start overheating. One suggestion was to check my map. My question is if I do not have it dyno'd yet, what map can I use. I mean I just want a zero map guess. What do you think?

If it ran OK before the overheating, it is probably not the map IMO.
How many miles and have you changed the coolant, and how often?
What mods do you have and where did you get the map?

It always had the PC since I had the bike...and always had the overheating problem in deep traffic only. I have changed the coolant once I beleive. I had the bike since 08. The map on the other hand was one I got from a friend with a close set up like mine. I have a HMF 4-2-1 set up.

I changed the plugs last year before the season started. Do you think a map that is not for my excat set up will cause it? Fan kicks on when it should. It's just the thick traffic that causes it to over heat.

It would run hotter if it was too lean, but in traffic you are at idle so most likely not.
You may have to do some of the cooling mods, like a lower temp sending unit (so the fan comes on sooner), engine ice, or muzzy fan or second fan etc.

I think this is one of the years that was notoriuos for overheating in slow traffic. Most people did a fan upgrade, to the muzzy's (I think) do a search on here. But as stated earlier, engine ice is supposed to help as well.
