PC III question

I need some help on this one I'am going to get the top speed limiter removed with the ECU flash My bike has already been tuned and I'am happy with the MAP. I noticed that on the flasher interface it asks you to load a new bike/map. When I do this it generate a stock map. Does the PC III store its MAP on the unit itself and the ECU retain its stock MAP? I don't want to mess up anything.

YES, PC keeps map and ECU goes back to stock.

power commander never touches ecu, its only altering a fuel signal between the ecu and the injector
