Pc3 Or 5, How Or Can It Lose Its Memory?

Is this even possible, or will it always keep the map in it no matter what until you actually change it with a new tune with a computer?
What can corrupt a pc3 or 5 to where it'll lose the map you have in it?

You can always save the map file on your computer.

If the positive cable touches ground it will mess up the tune on your bikes computer and cause a chain reaction.
