hey guys i was just wondering what a pcIII does for you. I have heard that it will unrestrict you in your first 3 gears and unrestrict your top speed. I have also heard that it will just allow you doing mess with your fuel mapping system. Just kind of wondering what you guys knew on the whole system and what it will do for my bike. I am also going to run a new exhaust system!! Thinking about running the new two brothers shorty system but would like to run a full set up instead of just a slip on system. I work at a bike shop so i get everything at cost so money is not an issue.

A pc will allow you to adjust your fuel mapping to alter it for different engine mods and intake/exhaust setups. Example: Pipe makes the engine lean. Power commander makes it run right and tuned for your bike and conditions. It allows you to tune each cylinder/trim, ignition timing etc. Its expandable too, for stuff like quick shifters, ignition modules, dash board readouts...

dont mean to hijack but what does it typically cost to "tune" a PCIII, since my bike came with a full system, I plan on getting a PCIII once I get some $$ and get over the 1000mile mark.

bought my PCIII with a FREE preloaded map to match my mods (full Yosh and BMC Race filter).  Bike runs like a charm.  I was originially planning to get a dyno/tune (around $350) but in no rush to do this now because the map is spot on.

I just installed mine on Saturday night, I really feel the difference! The bike shifts more smoothly now and accelerates smoother too! I only have K&N filter with Yosh bolt-ons. It was very easy to install, and I added the map that best complimented my mods. I've been told if you are gonna get a full system you actually NEED one.

tuning generally cost between 250 and up for a custom map.
