The installed lasted 30 minutes, most of which was the install of the cable from outside. It was a no brainer.

On a sad note, I must be nuts. I did spend some time "tuning" the Windows registry to gain a bit more speed.......this speed stuff has got to be some sort of adition (busa, cable, etc).

I HAVE HAD CABLE MODEMS FOR OVER TWO YEARS THE ONLY WAY TO TRAVEL ON THE NET, JUST LIKE THE BUSA THE ONLY WAY TO TRAVEL ON THE STREET

Next you will be looking for a titanium mouse and a carbon fiber LCD monitor, it a disease CompuBusatosis.

Just think if you never bought the Busa and found these Busa sites how much interest you would have collected......

Kevlar pc cables next Jeff?

I just got cable-modem installed yesterday, WOW!! what a performance boost. Now if I could just figure out how to get this type boost on the Busa :)

Must be time for a turbooooooooo!!!!

Jeff how much trouble was it to install ? I am thinking of going to Pac bell cable modem.
It is only $39.99 a month, which I will gladly pay if it is faster. This 56k modem takes too long

hey jeffw call your cable company and have them balance the upload download, its free and it only takes 1 minute while your on the phone. You will have the same upload and download speed.

Cable modem install is very easy. The cable company does it. It is similar to plugging into your office network. If you don't have a network card they install one in your system for you. Then you do a little config for your e-mail and you are done. They can do all the installation for you.

I had a cable modem but it slowwed down too much around 6pm to 11 pm when lots of people get in the net. I switched to a DSL dosn't slow down at all. With a cable modem you share bandwith with everyone on your net work loop. If there arn;t many people on the loop yet they fly.
