Got this in an email and thought it was an interesting bit of architecture. Thought I'd share it with ya'll...

According to the text in the mail it's between Sweden and Denmark and ships pass through over the underwater section...

It's called the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge Tunnel

You guys need to go on a road trip! These two bridge-tunnels are in my backyard!

I bet it would be cool to ride through 'em on the busa.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel was awesome! Miles of not much traffic, you could look ahead for cops and speed...

It costs $10 to get through...worth it if you've never been...

Hey! I hadn't thought about that. I know the Hindle really sings to me when there's a retaining wall next to the road to bounce it back at me. I hadn't thought about hearin' it in a tunnel. I'm thinkin' a 8-10k rpm run through a tunnel would make for a sweet video!

you beat me to it, I totally thought it was the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel, probably close to the same architecture... either way it is pretty cool I did some research on the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel and found that although its over 15 miles long, when it was completed , it was less than 1 inch off when they put the last span in... thats some precise stuff if you ask me..

If ever anyone gets the opportunity do the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel at sunrise...truly awesome...it is in the top ten of my most memorable riding experiences!!!
