Pitbull Upgrade

I have been using a Trackside (Cycle Gear) rear stand for 7 years. It was the first one that I’ve had and all I could afford at the time. When I got the Busa, I had ordered the pit bull hybrid front stand because it was needed to get the front wheel off but never got bought the rear stand at the time.

After taking the rear tire off recently, I decided that the old stand wasn’t enough for me. The handle got in the way and had to wedge my foot under the tire to hold it up. I ended up getting the fully adjustable rear stand with removable handle and the tire wedge.

I have learned that having the right tool for the job makes it a lot easier. The rear stand can be adjusted to different heights and the with can be easily adjusted with the thumb screws.

Wow, what a beautiful piece of kit the Pitbull products are!
I'm so jealous, here in NZ we cannot get these unless we import them personally.
The freight cost and import taxes etc, plus the currency exchange rate would put the price thru the roof, so it just ain't happening, darn it.
I have a classic old 'Bike Lift' pair of stands front and rear, had them since '07 and they still suffice for what I need them for. Unfortunately the rubber support pads are not flat and parallel any more, drooping from so much use over the many years, but it still works ok.

I also have a proper bike lift in my garage only because I do so much work on friends and associates bikes, but I use a rear stand on my lift all the time.
But that Pitbull stand is sooooo darned sexy, I want one !!!!!

Im excited to have matching stands now and the accessories for it. I‘m surprised that there isn’t a dealer that would import them although It would be hard to keep the cost down.

Yeah, its the cost once it retails here in NZ that makes it prohibitive, but it's a premium product for sure. The freight to NZ is $498.66 USD!!!
so the stand plus the exchange rate and shipping, thats about NZD $1300 plus 15% taxes landed here! aaaahh yeah, nah.

Definitely not worth that price. Are there any other motorcycle products that are expensive like that?
