Because the 'tight side' of Palomar SO tight, it's very slow. We're probably around 40-45 mph here.Nice! Out of curiosity, at what speed would you say you were at in the last pic?
I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but selling those images (without his 'trademark', of course; digital or in print), is how he makes his living.Does Clemson really have to put his name across all his pics?
"look ma!! their road has a turn in it!"
Pad...got your message, albeit a little late.I was there Sunday with the 702sportbikes crew, there is a pic of me taken. That is a intense mountain, one of our guys went down and broke his collar bone and two ribs!! Then while we were waiting for a trailer to tow his bike and get him to a hospital we heard there was a head on collision, I don't know the condition of the riders, I heard one of them was'nt moving!
My form really sucks... hell I was just trying to survive the turns!
I'm sorry I missed you too sir, and to correct myself it was on Saturday not Sunday. I had a blast I am so glad I went and did'nt back out!!!Pad...got your message, albeit a little late.I was there Sunday with the 702sportbikes crew, there is a pic of me taken. I'm sorry to hear about your co-rider's wreck. Did that happen on Sunday? When we got there (on the 27th) there were two significant patches of oil covered by dirt (absorbent). We rolled the hill only once because of this.
It's awesome that you went to Rick's photo site and plucked out your image from there.
Next time you come to town, I'll take you on some roads that are a lot more fun (high speed sweepers, etc.). My assessment on Palomar is: If you're not an accomplished sport-bike rider, Palomar is a lot of work.
Hope you enjoyed yourself here in "America's Finest City"...and sorry I missed you.
OMG; four busas between them. Well, you know what they say about gluttony...I'm sorry I missed you too sir, and to correct myself it was on Saturday not Sunday. Hope you enjoyed yourself here in "America's Finest City"...and sorry I missed you.So two of my friends( they are a couple) each have Busas, but the man brought his Buell on the trip and she brought her Busa both on a trailer. I get to our local bike night last night and there are two brand spankin new 08 Busas sitting in the parking lot!! I found out they drove all the home from San Diego, dropped off the Buell and the Gen1; and then drove all the way back to San Bernardino to pick up the new Busas! How cool is that?!
So now between the two of them they have four Busas, they already decided they are gonna make the 08s race bikes and keep the Gen1 for street use. Oh and both are the dark grey color, and they confirm that the performance between old and new is night and day!
Thanks~ Your comment makes spending the time to share any of it all worthwhile.Nice pics Scar, always cool to see your adventures
