Plate LED's

I removed the shovel tonight and I picked up some LED bolts for my tag.

I have a black/white wire and a grey wire, which one is positive? I should just be able to tap into these for my LED's correct?

Got a test light? I was thinking of adding to mine, they are not very visible.

I can pick up a test light after work and test the wires.. When I removed the wires from the shovel (license plate light) I assumed the blk/white was ground because it was mounted to the side of the bulb, but after blowing a fuse I thought maybe I was wrong.

I should just be able to twist the two black LED wires together and connect them to the blk/white and twist the two red wires from the LED's, connect them to the grey and be in business, but either I'm doing something wrong or maybe the wires themselves are shorted out.

sounds like a short. even if you hook them up bass ackward, they should not blow a fuse.

Hook a fuse up from the led to the battery to see if they are internally shorted. but sumtin aint right.

Ya, I will take the tail off today and replace the wires to the plug that sits under the tail.

If that does not work I will just tap into something else.
