Nothing really. Bolt ons will replace the can only, i.e. unbolt the can from the midpipe. Slipons usually include the midpipe also, i.e seporate it at the slip joint at the back of the header and slip the new one on. Different bikes use the different styles.

Bolt ons you could bolt them on, slip on's you unbolt them off from the end of the mid-pipe... but no difference though in power gains...

Okay, now that I know there is no difference, what do you think of non-full exhaust. I ask only because I just saw how awesome the Micron slip-on are. I mean the black to red fade would be cool on my 05 red & black!

Slips ons are great if you are looking for the look and the sound but arent worried about the few extra horsepower, They are also good because they dont require the pair removal or any remapping of the bike.

there is a guy on here, mschivs173 who is local who has the micron bolt-ons. They sound pretty good.

At least no one said anything about strap-ons...Did I say that?
maybe we should start a

pole......

No difference. Busa's use bolt ons, some other bikes use slip ons. Bolt ons are mostly for a nicer sound and a better look....power increase will only be 1-3HP

when I went to the full system it felt like I was riding a different bike of course that is with PCIIIusb and custom map what a difference to me the only way to go.

Hello, these guys are right on the money. The TL, Busa, and some gsxr use bolt on canisters that of course bolt on to the existing factory pipe. Other bikes use a slightly oversized pipe that is welded to the muffler and it slips over the midpipe or comes with a new one and attacheds with a band clamp. I have the 4 into 1 full Micron race system and I love it. Sounds raspy and it is lound when hard accelerating, but I would never do that, of course:)
